Warehouse Locations Table - SET 15
This program enables you to define the physical characteristics (capacity in weight, units, and cubes) of each bin or location in your warehouses. It also enables you to establish optimum picking and put away sequence schemes. This feature is utilized by the Pick Label Pool and other warehousing functions.
The first screen asks if you are working with an IWMS or non IWMS warehouse.
If working with a IWMS warehouse refer to IWMS Locations File.
For Non IWMS warehouses the following screen appears after selecting a warehouse.
Field Name | Description/Instructions |
Position To: | Enter a location code to start the screen listing from. When left blank, the screen starts from the first alphabetical location code in the file. |
Loc# | The location/bin code used to identify the location or bin within the warehouse. |
Area | Enter a one or two-character area code. Area codes must first be established in the Warehouse Areas Table. Enter ? to display a list of warehouse area codes. |
Capacity in Cubes | If applicable, enter the capacity of the location in cubes. |
Capacity in Weight | If applicable, enter the capacity of the location in weight. (pounds) |
Capacity in U/M | If applicable, enter the capacity of units that can be stored in this location. This is only applicable if consistent units are stored in this location. |
UM | Enter the Unit of Measure related to the capacity in units. |
Pick Sequence | Enter a sequence number that links locations in a logical path throughout the warehouse for picking. |
Putaway Sequence | Enter a sequence number that links locations in a logical path throughout the warehouse for receiving. |
