Navigator Warehouse Matrix

This file enables you to define the sequence of warehouses displayed when the system displays the Inventory Serial Number Screen. A different sequence can be displayed based on where the customer is serviced from or where is user is located. The Warehouse Matrix File also has the effect of limiting the warehouses from which stock should be displayed depending on the customer’s or user’s designated warehouse.

For example, let’s assume you have four warehouses: CHI, RAL , CRY and AIR. Your matrix for CHI might be RAL, CRY plus AIR indicating that the matrix should show CHI, followed by RAL, followed by CRY and then AIR. Your matrix for the RAL warehouse might be only have the CHI warehouse. This means that if the customer’s (or workstation) warehouse is RAL, the serial number or roll search should display RAL followed by CHI and omit and omit any other warehouses.

Warehouses not in the matrix are omitted from the display. To utilize the warehouse matrix it must be activated for each applicable control panel by entering *MX in the Search Warehouse field of the User Web Control Panel. You can also use the Warehouse Matrix File in the Inventory Selection Optimizer (ISO) Program. Use of the Warehouse Matrix File is not mandatory. If you do not want to alter how serial numbers are displayed on your system, you can skip the setup of this file.
